Three Little Words

Those three little words
Are so hard to say
You build up the courage
But then it fades away,

You want to tell them
But you have fear
How heartbreaking it'd be
If their feelings didn't mirror,

Your heart beats quickly
Your face slightly pales
What if you're rejected
What if this fails,

So many thoughts
Dance through your head
So you change your mind
And walk away instead,

They thought you were going to tell them
The words they longed for you to admit
But then you turned and left
Without mentioning it,

With your head hung low
You walked on your way
Oh why is "I love you"
So hard to say!

InjuredIf I follow under your wing
Could you sheild it all away?
I cannot take it anymore
I forbid this pain to stay

Rejoicing in your existence
With praises of soothing song
You allow yourself to be my guide
And make me feel like I belong

Blinded by your kindness
And distracted by my attention
You relinquished your free will
And fell for my deception

Weakened in your current state
I can clearly see the cause
I had wasted your soul and vow
And left you hanging in my jaws

Crying deeply for the truth
Of tears born from a lie
How strange is it that
Honesty is kept within the eye

Just a friend.Not a lover

Not a hater

Just a friend.

We share an abundance of common interests

Talk often.

Even if I only see you

For a meager hour per day

It's probably the best part

Of all the 24 hours.

You may be just a friend,

But you're the only really true friend

I've had to date.

I knowI know I will hurt you

I know I am not good enough

I know I am beautiful enough

I know I am not smart enough

I know I am not fit enough

I know I am fucked up

I know I am messed up

I know I am moody and needy

I know I am always sad and angry

I know you hate me sometimes for being like that

I know I don't deserve you

I know you're too good for me

I know you're so nice to me

I know you understand me

I know you think of me

I know you care about me

I know how much hard it is to be with me

But

No one can love like the way I do

No one can care about you like the way I do

No one appreciate you like the way I do

When I’m feeling lonely
And want nothing more in the world
Than for you to hold me in your arms
And whisper that everything’s going to be okay

And want to be able to share

By my side so we can appreciate it together
But mostly

At 3am
When I’m all alone
After a day of pain and sorrow
With only the company of my razorblade

You tried to turn these empty pages
But you know you are not strong enough to kill these memories.

The Dark ForestThe dark forest
It takes you in
And comes when you least expect it

The dark forest
Comfort you
But at the same time it’s your graveyard of memories

As you venture deeper into the darkness
You feel this presence sitting on your shoulder
As it gets comfortable you remember the feeling
And it fills you with fright

The dark forest
Horrible in its own way
You hate being there but you’ve know it for so long

The dark forest
Inside there is no turning back
While you know you don’t want to do this

And as you reach the end you see the a shovel
The presence gets stronger as you pick it up
You walk a little longer until you get to

I'm OkayMy tears are flowing onto your heart
But you don't have a heart
So you can't feel them
Of course I'm okay.
Of course, because I smile every minute you face me
Of course, because you never see me cry
or frown
or whimper
or scream
But I see you
You say I'm the happiest person in the world
Because I smile more than you do
You say you are jealous
Because I am happier than you are
So much happier
Because I'm okay
And while you cry for the thing you don't have
I try to comfort you
But the thing that I had you already took from me
But I'm always okay
Willing to be your punching bag
The backup disk
The tissue you use and throw away and forget about.
Maybe your cold froze over your heart.

On life, it would seem,
I've written reams,

With a hammer and a will
Of iron, I break the chains,
With a sickle now I till
The soils of redemption,
Sow seeds of change,
And pray hope will rain…

Keep me enthralled,
Are replaced by a lance,
No longer stalled,

New MemoriesI'm slowing down my pace, for walking towards the future.
I'm trying to stand my ground but life keeps moving on.
I can't stop time.
I can't stop life.
I can't stop walking, but I can try to make the walk last.

I'm walking hand and hand with you with a smile my on face.
I'm so close to you but I feel so far from you.
My hand is slowly slipping away.
My vision of you is fading into a gray haze.

I'm starting to forget you face.
I'm starting to forget your name.
I'm starting to move on.
Then suddenly I'm not holding on to your hand anymore.
I've turned one way, while you turned the other.

I've forgotten who I am
Like a shadow in the night
Lost in an ocean of darkness
Until someone shines the light

Can you please help me search?
For a forgotten past
I long to be myself again
This is happening all too fast

I've forgotten who I am
Like a light in a deep mist
I’m too far out of reach
Yet I’m still within your midst

Can you please rescue me?
Bring back life to a dead mind
The doctors say it's all over
We're running out of time

I've forgotten who I am
Or how you used to feel
Your touch is now replaced
With a pain that's all too real

Can you please help me remember?
Tell me how, why or when
Then I can finally be at peace
With whom I've always been

I imagine someone that was in a coma finally coming out of it and remembering everyone (family and friends) except themself. Like waking up in the body of a doll.
